3,000 Illegal Colonies In State To Get Amenities – Times of India – 15-Dec-2014

The Haryana government has decided to provide basic facilities to around 3,000 unauthorized colonies in the state. Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said that basic facilities will be provided in these unauthorized colonies as well so that the poor people, who have constructed houses by spending their saving don’t suffer.
The CM also said that affordable housing scheme will be promoted so that all the families in the state get a roof over their head and this mission will be completed by 2020. The CM was addressing a gathering at Uchagaon village in Ballabhgarh assembly segment on Sunday. He inaugurated the first phase of augmentationof water supply project there.
The chief minister also said that every municipal councilor in the state would be given grants according to population of his ward for taking up development works there.
